Dr. Edward S. Lee, MD
Dr. Lee was raised in suburban North Brunswick, NJ. In a family of boys, he grew up loving the intensity of sports, which included soccer, wrestling, and crew. He also had a passion for music and trained as a pianist, trumpeter, and percussionist. His academic talent led him to attend The Lawrenceville School. He completed his undergraduate degree at Yale University where he double majored in Philosophy and Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry. He earned a Masters degree in Physiology at Georgetown University before attending Georgetown University School of Medicine. Graduating with honors, he proceeded to complete his training through an integrated plastic surgery residency at the world renowned University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). He now resides in Bergen County, NJ with his wife and three year old daughter, who is a constant source of humor and joy for him.
What makes Dr. Lee a multi-faceted surgeon?
UPMC is home to one of the largest hospital systems and one of the largest academic plastic surgery divisions in the United States. At UPMC, Dr. Lee trained in all facets of general surgery, involving the care of trauma victims, cancer patients, elderly patients, neonatal and pediatric patients, and bariatric patients. He then specialized in plastic surgery, learning to treat patients with needs ranging from cancer reconstruction to aesthetic surgery, as well as hand surgery and limb salvage. Dr. Lee was distinguished during his residency and received multiple awards. He then supplemented his training in Hawaii by working with Dr. Flowers specializing in periorbital rejuvenation and Asian aesthetic surgery.
